Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information WhatsForDinner collects, how we use it, and how we keep it safe. We keep things simple — we're a pre-launch product and we're not in the business of selling your data.
1. What we collect
Right now, the only information we collect is your email address when you join the waitlist. You may also optionally provide a feature suggestion.
- Email address — used to notify you when WhatsForDinner launches and to send you early access.
- Feature suggestion — optional free-text you submit through the waitlist form. Used internally to help prioritise features.
2. How we use your information
We use your email address only to:
- Send you a confirmation that you've joined the waitlist.
- Notify you when WhatsForDinner is available for download.
- Occasionally share meaningful product updates (no spam).
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making.
3. How we store and protect your data
Your email is transmitted securely over HTTPS. We use Resend to handle email delivery — they are a trusted, GDPR-compliant email service. We do not store your email in a database of our own at this stage; it is used solely to send you the above communications.
4. Sharing your data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Resend (email delivery service), solely to send transactional emails on our behalf.
- If required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete your data at any time.
- Unsubscribe from any emails we send you.

6. Cookies
The WhatsForDinner website does not use cookies or any tracking technologies.
7. Children's privacy
Our waitlist is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we'll let you know via email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
